Treasurer Craig Greulich told the Dubois County Council on April 28 that the Treasurer’s Office is experiencing issues with its current Harris Financial Solutions software and provided comparative information about alternative vendors.
Greulich said Harris is only used by 13 counties, which he said causes concern about vendor support and longevity. He presented pricing from Low Associates: the Window Financial Accounting Suite priced at $219,345 with a $53,000 annual maintenance fee. The Auditor’s Office currently uses United Systems and Software and pays $4,960 annually; the county currently pays $6,800 annually for Harris.
Greulich presented Low Associates and X‑Soft as Indiana‑available options that could be used by both Treasurer and Auditor offices. The council recorded that Greulich and Auditor Sandra L. Morton will continue researching the vendors and options should a change become necessary; no appropriation or procurement action was taken at the meeting.
