Council approves two plats to consolidate lots for future development

The Bowie City Council approved two plats that consolidate smaller parcels into larger lots intended for future development.
Planning staff recommended approval of a 1.57-acre plat (Block 1, Pinnacle Square) consolidating several parcels into a single lot at 107 East Nelson Street to enable redevelopment. Mr. Calabretta presented the recommendation and explained the resulting lot will open to Nelson Street on both sides.
The council also approved a replat of approximately 1.74 acres in the Lindsay and Hopewell additions to create Lots 1 through 9, Block 1 of Stonebridge (listed as 412 Green Street). Staff and planning and zoning raised no objections; city services including water, sewer and electricity were reported as adequate. Mr. Calabretta said the developer plans duplex housing on the new lots.
Both plat actions were approved by council vote.
