Chief Deputy Wes Van Donge of the sheriff’s office was present to answer questions about the agreement. Clarence Siepker moved to approve the 28E agreement; Louis Stauter seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve it.
The agreement was presented to the board as a signed 28E and no further terms or budgetary specifics were discussed during the meeting. The sheriff’s office will carry out the law-enforcement duties under the timeline specified in the agreement.
