The Clarkfield Economic Development Authority discussed a proposal from UMVRDC to perform a housing needs assessment quoted at $11,000 and decided not to move forward at this time.
Board members said the cost and grant availability influenced the decision and discussed other grant opportunities that might support a study. The board did not vote to fund the assessment; its decision was to decline the $11,000 proposal and consider alternate funding paths.
Separately, the board reviewed a county parcel currently for sale and noted additional parcels will be listed for auction this summer. Members discussed which county parcels might return to auction and potential EDA interest.
