Cleveland council approves routine resolutions, sets Board of Appeal date and authorizes potential water shut-offs for two overdue accounts

The council also approved Resolution 07-2026 to accept donations to the city. Motions to approve these resolutions passed by unanimous vote.
Council set the 2026 Board of Appeal and Equalization hearing for Monday, April 13, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. and granted a one-time gambling permit to the Cleveland Baseball & Softball Association. City Clerk-Treasurer Charles Hodge reported two residential accounts are 90 days past due; the council approved a motion to shut off water service for those households on Feb. 24 if payments are not made.
All votes on the listed items were unanimous. No public comments were recorded on the resolutions or the potential utility shut-offs during the meeting.
The council also approved scheduling a city project workshop for Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m.; that item and the Board of Appeal date were placed on the calendar for staff follow-up. The meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
