Clarkfield EDA approves Jeremy Grinager for City Council confirmation

Dakote Swinton, board member, moved to approve Grinager’s application; Lisa Tilney, board member, seconded the motion and it carried. Chair Sue Fritz said the council will review the appointment at its upcoming meeting.
The action followed a brief board discussion of Grinager’s application. There was no recorded dissent; the board handled the confirmation as a routine appointment and did not discuss conditions or alternate candidates during the meeting.
Earlier in the meeting, the board approved its Jan. 26 minutes (motion by Brenda Risa, second by Dakote Swinton) and approved payment of bills (motion by Brenda Risa, second by Lisa Tilney). Both motions were recorded as carrying. The meeting adjourned at 6:37 p.m. after a final motion to adjourn by Jerry Kaupang, seconded by Craig Giles.
The recommendation of Grinager is advisory; final appointment requires City Council approval, which Chair Fritz said staff will transmit to the council.
