Staff cited comprehensive plan policies encouraging vacating antiquated plats and referenced statute 163.3164 (antiquated subdivisions) and statute 177.101 (plat vacations) in recommending approval. The applicant, identified as the Barbara F. Hall Family Trust, proposed vacating undeveloped rights-of-way and platted lots to allow sale to the Cross Florida Greenway rather than new development; staff noted the parcels would remain subject to AG zoning standards if later developed but that sale to the Greenway precluded immediate development.
A commissioner moved to approve the resolution vacating the specified portions of St. Johns Manor Acres (resolution 2026-046); the motion passed unanimously. The resolution instructs county staff to process the vacation consistent with statutory requirements.
