Greenburgh board honors Maria Regina students and Eagle Scout

The board presented a proclamation recognizing Maria Regina High School for STEM achievements, AP Honor Roll distinction and success at a regional Science Olympiad. Students and faculty attended; student Kitumeturangwe told the board she plans to pursue mechatronics engineering and said the teachers “helped me figure out my career path,” adding that the school’s women-led STEM program influenced her ambitions.
The board also proclaimed an anniversary day in honor of Eagle Scout David Dursin, reciting his scouting history and the community project he completed to achieve the rank. Dursin said the project created a home-environment room at Paws Crossed that helps rescued dogs adjust to living in homes.
Board members took photos with students and the scout, praised scholastic and civic achievements, and encouraged continued community engagement.
