Planning commission honors departing members, introduces new building inspector and planner

Planning staff introduced Sean Christopherson as the new building inspector; Christopherson said briefly, "Pleasure to meet to all of you ... This is day one. So, looking forward to getting started and ... serve county." Staff also announced Heather Civil AIS as a newly hired planner who is transitioning from Georgia and whose first day will be July 6.
Members spent time discussing internal governance: selecting a chair and vice chair and ensuring the chair can maintain order during meetings. Several commissioners recommended providing both a shortcut guide and the full version of Robert's Rules of Order to members as a resource. One commissioner urged the department to supply the book to new members, noting it contains valuable procedural guidance for motions and meeting management.
The meeting then concluded after the consent and regular agenda items were handled and motions to adjourn carried by voice vote.
