Chair Susan Griffiths called the Danville Joint Loss meeting to order at 2:33 p.m. on June 18, 2026.
Andy Ward moved to approve the minutes from the March 26, 2026 meeting; JT Bascue seconded and the motion carried with the record noting "All in favor." The motion to approve the minutes was the only formal action recorded at the meeting.
Susan Griffiths, chair, raised a procedural question about committee membership, saying the program manual requires the committee be composed of half department administrators and half department staff and that a member of the BOS Office be included. She questioned how staff members are selected under those rules and asked for clarification of the selection process.
The Fire Department submitted a Self Inspection Checklist to the committee. The record also shows a request that the Fire Department provide fire extinguisher training for town employees; no action on that request was recorded at the meeting.
The agenda noted that ongoing energy audits of town buildings would not include the library per the BOS Office. JT Bascue offered to assist the library if it chooses to pursue an audit independently.
Departmental reports were brief: James Seaver of the Highway Department reported no concerns; Ann Massoth said the library moved its contents and closed for a day as a safety precaution; JT Bascue noted a tornado watch was in effect; Susan Griffiths reported no problems for the Town Clerk's Office; and Vale Freeman of the BOS Office said Primex was expected to issue a check for spring windstorm damage to Town Hall siding and shingles.
The committee set no firm date for its next meeting and adjourned at 3:12 p.m. Minutes were submitted by Ann Massoth, Secretary.
