At the March 19 meeting the Maple Grove Parks and Recreation Board received staff updates on program registration, facility usage and recent events.
Assistant Director Aimee Peterson said summer registration is open and the full parks and recreation guide is available online; she also reviewed skate-rental and skate-trainer use for the 2025–26 skating season and listed upcoming events including an indoor farmers market, Rock Your Socks and the Vintage Market. Peterson noted staff are seeking feedback on whether the city should sponsor additional pickleball tournaments (see separate item on scheduling).
Community Center Manager Angie Dehn recognized aquatics staff who attended a Twin Cities Live event, reported a Lions 'Sip and Sample' and the March 7 Home Show, and said she attended a March 16 ribbon cutting for the arena expansion. Dehn previewed spring parking-lot construction at the Community Center and said the facility will host the USA Hockey High School National Tournament Thursday–Sunday; the center will be closed Sunday, April 5 for Easter.
Chair Bill Lewis and Board Members thanked staff for event work and outreach; no formal board actions were recorded on these informational items.
