The West Branch City Council unanimously approved six resolutions on Feb. 20, 2024, covering a major water‑main contract award, multiple construction pay estimates and the appointment of a police chief.
The council accepted the apparent low bid for the Phase 2 East Side Water Main Replacement Project and awarded the contract to Midwest Underground Contractors Inc. for $840,277.00, approved partial retainage release and pay estimates for ongoing projects, approved an invoice for the Wapsi Creek widening project, and established a local hotel and motel tax allocation policy.
