Riverfront committee members complain city manager held up statements and ask for clearer route to City Council

The group asked staff to confirm whether the committee's two action items would be placed on the July 27 City Council agenda and requested that staff circulate the prior meeting's action items to all committee members.
Members also sought clarity about the committee's authority to contact outside agencies and invite officials (for example the Border Patrol chief) to brief the committee. Staff said they would follow up and, where appropriate, seek written guidance describing whether correspondence or invitations to outside agencies are within the committee's remit.
The committee agreed to plan a meeting on July 15 to prepare any materials for the July 27 City Council agenda and to follow up when the solicitation and timelines for the flood‑risk study are published.
