The Boxholm City Council approved the treasurer’s report and authorized payment of bills at its Jan. 9, 2025 meeting. The motion to approve the treasurer’s report and bills was made by Council Member Victoria Helling and seconded by Robyn Dodson; the minutes record ayes from Veva Teeters, Paul Frazier, Victoria Helling, Brandon Wendt and Robyn Dodson and no opposition.
Council also adopted Resolution 654 designating Security Savings Bank and Peoples Bank as official city depositories. The motion is recorded in the minutes as made by Paul Frazier (the transcript prints the mover’s name once as “Fraser,” which appears to be a transcription error) and seconded by Victoria Helling; the motion carried with ayes recorded for all council members.
The minutes include a list of general fund bills totaling $10,123.48 and sewer expenses totaling $1,031.71. Recorded income for December is listed as $7,654.05 and includes items labeled Boone Co - Farm to Mkt - Roads ($284.50); State of IA LOST - General ($1,773.72); State of IA - Roads ($1,792.38); Boone Co- Treas ($2,805.09); Black Hills ($46.95); Interest - General ($459.59); Wccta- refund ($134.32); State of IA –ABD ($357.50). Some check line-items in the minutes show inconsistent formatting; where amounts or check numbers are unclear in the transcript those specific values are noted as recorded in the minutes but not restated here.
The council completed routine financial business and moved on to announcements and adjournment.
