The West Branch City Council on May 6 approved three personnel hires. Chief Greg Hall introduced Brad Longlett and the council approved Resolution 2024-40 hiring him as a full-time police officer and setting his salary for Fiscal Year 2024/2025. Mayor Roger Laughlin administered the oath of office; Longlett said he "would do everything to make them proud."
The council also approved Resolution 2024-41 hiring Taylor Case as a streets maintenance worker and Resolution 2024-42 hiring Kobe Simon as a streets maintenance worker, with salaries set for FY2024/25. All three resolutions passed by unanimous vote.
