Former contractor seeks removal as Facebook administrator; neighbor raises unfinished-construction complaint

During the public remonstrance portion of the Oct. 13 meeting, Diane Gacom, identified in the minutes as the Village's former sewer maintenance billing and website maintenance contractor, presented written materials to council about the new Village website and work she performed during her tenure.

Gacom said she had offered to continue providing services but that the Village had not accepted those offers. She asked the Village to remove her as administrator of the Village Facebook page and said she would be willing to assist with the Facebook-page administration transition if asked. Councilmember Jenn Domzalski said the Village attempted to reset Facebook control features but lacked the current password; Mr. Vojtush said he had not been aware of Gacom's offer to continue as website maintenance contractor and was told that was not an option.

Resident David Kirshner of 68 Birch Avenue raised a complaint about the condition of the 60 Birch property, which is under construction. Law Director Brad Bryan said Mr. Walters (Service Department) is aware of the situation, that Mr. Walters was not at the meeting, and that someone would notify him of Kirshner's concerns. Mr. Vojtush noted he previously looked into the situation and was told the property owner remains within the permitted time to complete construction work.

The council did not take formal action on these public comments at the Oct. 13 meeting as recorded in the minutes.
