Associated Employers outlines HR hotline and membership services to Daniels County commissioners

Brian Peterson of Associated Employers presented the group’s services to the Daniels County commissioners March 16, describing a membership model, an employer hotline for HR guidance, training offerings and recruiting projects.
Peterson said Associated Employers is membership-based and provides a hotline staffed by HR professionals to help employers with compliance, performance and accommodation questions; he emphasized the service is for employers, not employees. "One of the benefits of membership is that you get a better rate on whatever it is we’re doing for you," Peterson said. He described membership tiers based on full-time-equivalent staff and quoted membership ranges in the low hundreds to mid-thousands depending on FTE counts.
He also outlined ancillary services: handbook review, HR partnering, virtual and on-site trainings, and recruitment services billed by time and expense rather than as a percentage of salary. Commissioners asked about likely costs for Daniels County and the difference in hourly/project rates for members and nonmembers; Peterson gave example rates and said members receive preferred pricing and a small allotment of free consulting hours per year.
Commissioners thanked Peterson for the overview and discussed whether the county wanted to pursue membership or one-off services for recruitment and policy review.
