During the Feb. 13 meeting the Boxholm City Council approved routine consent items including the agenda, previous meeting minutes, and the treasurer’s report and bills. Motions were made by Paul Frazier (approve agenda), Veva Teeters (approve minutes) and Robyn Dodson (approve treasurer’s report); each motion passed with recorded ayes from Teeters, Frazier, Wendt and Dodson.
The clerk read bills and income details: general fund bills listed totaled $1,789.40 and sewer checks totaled $765.78. January income items totaled $14,400.01, including $9,050.64 from Xenia and state/local distributions (State of Iowa LOST, State roads, Boone County road funds). Check-by-check amounts were recorded in the minutes excerpt for audit.
The meeting also recorded a motion to allow resident Mandy Skogland to keep a storage pod in the alley no later than April 1, 2025; the excerpt records the motion but does not include a mover/second or the council’s vote. Separately, the council discussed a driveway contract and tabled the matter for future consideration. Announcements included citywide garage sales on May 31 and a citywide clean-up on June 7 from 8 a.m. to noon.
