The Sudbury School Committee reviewed the RFP evaluation summary for RFP 26-001 (Facilities Lease for Extended Day Operations) and voted to award the contract to SED during the April 13 meeting.
Don Sawyer, Director of Business and Human Resources, presented the evaluation summary, noted who submitted proposals and provided cumulative and average scores. Committee members asked follow-up questions about adding a one-day enrollment option, clarifying 5-day week pricing, financial aid consistency, facility capacity, transition risks from any changes to the current program, and kindergarten enrollment numbers.
Betsy Sues moved to award RFP 26-001 to SED, with Julie Durgin-Sicree seconding; an amendment changed the wording from "pending Chair signature" to "authorizing Chair signature." The roll-call vote was 4-0 in favor and the motion carried.
The Committee’s vote authorizes the Chair to execute the agreement with SED; contract execution is contingent on Chair signature as authorized by the Committee.
