Sudbury School Committee directs staff to pursue zero-emission vehicle policy update

Committee members pressed on budgetary impacts, funding sources and which cost centers must agree to meet Climate Leader Communities certification requirements. Members also asked which counsel would review the proposed policy changes.
Vice Chair Jessica McCready moved and the Committee voted 5-0 to direct Superintendent Brad Crozier to meet with the Lincoln‑Sudbury Regional School District superintendent (or designee), the Town Manager (or designee) and counsel, then return proposed redlines to the current Fuel Efficient Vehicle Policy for the Committee’s consideration at the April meeting for potential adoption.
The motion sets a timeline for interagency consultation and counsel review before any formal policy adoption and flags budget implications and funding-source questions for future discussion.
