Prairie City tables SRF loan for water‑main work, approves limited schedule change for Phase 2

The Prairie City Council on Aug. 13 deferred a decision on an SRF (State Revolving Fund) loan application for Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the water‑main replacement project, scheduling a special meeting for Aug. 19 to discuss loan limits with the city’s financial adviser, PFM.
During the meeting Council member Derek Ingle moved to approve a request to add five days to the Phase 2 Water Main Replacement Project schedule; Phil Holland seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The additional days were approved as a schedule change request; no dollar amount for the schedule extension was recorded in the minutes.
Council took no action on the proposed lighting layout for Phase 3 of the Water Main and Roadway Replacement Project and tabled engineering services for a generator at the wells until September, allowing Ingle time to review renewal of his master electrician license. The SRF loan application was explicitly left for additional review with PFM so council can decide an appropriate loan limit at the Aug. 19 special meeting.
