Board approves nurse-sharing agreement, lighting and flooring contracts and calendar changes

At its April 13 meeting, the North Butler Community School District Board approved several operational and facilities items, including a sharing agreement with Clarksville Community School District for a nurse, acceptance of lighting bids for both district buildings and approval of flooring work in the Allison building.
The board approved a sharing agreement with Clarksville CSD for a nurse by motion of Henrichs, seconded by Engels; the motion carried unanimously. The board then approved bids for a lighting project: Sitler's LED Supplies at $1,485.63 (after rebates) and LEHVAC at $94,190. The board also approved up to $74,000 to replace carpet/flooring in the Allison building, awarding that work to Commercial Flooring. All votes were recorded as carried unanimously.
The board amended the 2025-26 junior high/high school calendar to include a two-hour late start on May 15, 2026, and approved the presented amendments to the JH/HS student handbook. The board also approved the dates for Senior Awards Night (May 6) and National Honor Society induction (April 29).
The minutes record the awards and induction dates as approved by motion, and state that the board will proceed with vendor contracts and scheduling as authorized. Two board members left the meeting at 6:59 p.m.; the board adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
