North Butler board approves multiple staff resignations, hires and a transfer with one abstention

The North Butler Community School District Board on April 13 approved several personnel actions including resignations, new hires, substitutes and a volunteer and later approved two personnel transfers.
By motion of Jordan Nolz, seconded by Dan Engels, the board accepted resignations from employees including preschool teacher Kayla Schwarck and junior high teacher Henry Olsen and approved multiple personnel recommendations and hires: Jacquelyn Cagle as media specialist ($52,140 MA, step 1) pending licensure; Casey Wenzel as food service director/custodian ($20.00 per hour); Patrick Johnston as high school science teacher ($51,605 MA, step 0); Kerstin Peterson as special education teacher ($50,000 BA, step 0) pending licensure; Kristianna Salge as at-risk teacher ($51,605 BA, step 3); Lindsey Windaham in food service ($14.50 per hour). The board also approved substitutes Kylee Sullivan and Kimberly Craig and volunteer Kenzie Groen for softball. The motion carried unanimously.
Later, the board approved personnel transfers, moving Cami Crawford-Miller to second grade and Samantha Jacobs to 4-year-old preschool. The motion to approve transfers passed with ayes from Henrichs, Nolz, Engels and Shook; Board President Ty Crawford-Miller recorded an abstention on that vote.
All personnel approvals were recorded by motion in the board minutes. Where licensure was pending, hires were approved contingent on meeting certification requirements.
