Board President Ty Crawford-Miller called a special work session of the North Butler Comm School District Board of Education to order at 6:03 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2026, at the Allison Media Center.
The session, attended by board members Jordan Nolz, Sara Hendrichs, Heather Shook and Dan Engels and Business Manager/Board Secretary Shellee Bartlett, focused on the district's budget process. The work session was described as an opportunity to give board members a shared understanding of budget structure so they could ask more informed questions, set clearer priorities and hold a more productive budget discussion before formal decisions are made.
The board first approved the meeting agenda; the motion to approve was moved by Heather Shook and seconded by Sara Hendrichs and carried unanimously. No formal budget motions or votes were taken during the work session. After the preparatory discussion the meeting was adjourned at 8:11 p.m.; the adjournment motion was moved by Jordan Nolz, seconded by Heather Shook and carried unanimously.
