UW-Extension budget finalized; Winter Library receives $10,000 for youth programs and staff position open

Lori Baltrusis reported to the Sawyer County Economic Development and UW-Extension Committee on Aug. 5 that the UW-Extension department’s budget has been completed and that the department is accepting applications for an open Marketing and Communications position.
Baltrusis also reported that Donna Knuckey of the Winter Library was awarded $10,000 by the 100 Who Care Association to support county youth programs. She noted the Twilight Garden Tour at the Spooner Ag Research Station will take place on Aug. 20.
The committee received the report; no formal action was taken during the meeting.
