Red Oak council reviews Chapters 1–25 of city code, directs staff to prepare final recommendation

Mayor Shawnna Silvius called a special meeting of the Red Oak City Council to order at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Red Oak Fire Station to consider recommended revisions to the City Code of Ordinances.
The council approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Councilperson Sharon Bradley, seconded by Councilperson Tim Fridolph; a roll-call vote recorded four ayes and the motion carried. Councilperson John Haidsiak is noted in the record as arriving at 4:43 p.m. City Administrator Lisa Kotter and City Clerk Ashley Wilson were listed as city staff present.
Council members discussed recommendations for Chapters 1–25 of the City Code of Ordinances. The council agreed to build consensus during this review to give direction to the City Administrator on how to proceed with a final recommendation on the proposed code changes.
