Jason Dow elected chairman as Select Board completes annual organization

Jason Dow was nominated and unanimously elected chairman of the Albion Select Board at the town office meeting on April 13, 2026. The board welcomed newly seated members Eric Ralston and David Hammond and approved the previous meeting minutes with one correction; members agreed to address warrants at the end of the agenda.
Board members listed a series of appointments to be made, including nominations for road commissioner, code enforcement and health officer, public access officer, cemetery committee, animal control officer, cemetery sexton, planning board and emergency management leadership. The board moved and passed a motion to vote on all appointments as a block during the meeting.
During organization business the board also discussed compensation and structure for the assessing board: the chair of the assessing board and overseers receives $115 annually, and a motion to nominate Jason to a chair role was made and passed.
The meeting adjourned at 8:11 PM. Future agenda items announced during the session included a School Committee Q&A about a school grant and a special town meeting to vote on required matching funds for the grant.
