At its March 24 meeting the Albion Selectboard voted to proceed with a three-year fixed-price municipal mowing contract with contractor McLaggan.
Under the approved terms the town will pay $25,000 for municipal and cemetery mowing — an increase of $1,050 from McLaggan’s prior bid — and a separate $1,800 fixed price for school mowing for the same three-year term. The board recorded that the school portion would be terminated if the town sells the school during the contract period.
Selectboard Member Paul Flynn moved to authorize the contract; Selectboard Chairman Jason Dow seconded. The minutes record the motion and second; no roll-call tally was recorded in the minutes.
The board did not provide further details in the minutes about insurance, start dates, performance standards, or whether the contractor subcontracted any work. Those details are expected to be specified in the written contract.
