Caledonia council approves consent agenda, commercial solar applications and winter parade street closures

At its Nov. 24 meeting the Caledonia City Council approved a consent agenda that bundled routine administrative items and permits, and separately approved street closures for the upcoming Winter Wonderland Parade.
The consent agenda, moved by Member John Rauk and seconded by Member Bob Klug, included approval of regular payments and disbursements; two commercial solar applications for 225 S. Kingston Street and 515 Old Highway Drive; sign permits for 129 S. Marshall Street and 921 Industry Road; a salvage yard permit for 806 W. Main Street; a petition and waiver for 927 E. Grove Street; and Resolution 2025-11 in support of a Business Development Public Infrastructure Grant application. The motion passed unanimously.
City Clerk/Administrator Jake Dickson requested street closures for the Winter Wonderland Parade scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5, affecting Grant, Pine, Kingston and part of Washington; Member Bob Klug moved to approve and Member Dave Fitzpatrick seconded. That motion also passed unanimously.
The council reviewed overtime reports (pay periods Oct. 27 through Nov. 9) and took no action. Announcements included a Dec. 8 regular meeting and City Hall closures on Nov. 27 and 28. The council adjourned at 7:03 p.m.
