Denton trustees approve cameras, fireworks budget and claims list; adopt surplus resolution

The Village of Denton Board of Trustees took several routine and discretionary actions at its Feb. 2 meeting. Trustees accepted a bid from NCS IT Support to replace four cameras and provide software for $905.26. They set a $6,000 budget for a July 4, 2026 fireworks show and asked Midwest Firework to perform on July 3 or 4.
The board adopted Resolution 2-1-26 to declare 11 large round brome hay bales surplus and offer them for sealed bid at the March 2 meeting. Trustees approved Claims List A totaling $24,526.09 and Claims List B $5,325.03, and approved February net payroll of $10,832.21.
Other administrative actions included tabling ingress/egress easements for 9505 W Denton and authorizing maintenance lead Ross Blackledge to attend the Nebraska Rural Water conference March 9–11, 2026.
