Denton trustees reorganize for 2026, name officials and raise community center rates

At the start of the Dec. 1 meeting the Denton Board of Trustees completed its 2026 reorganizational business, appointing key village officials and designating posting locations and a depository bank.
By motion Trustee Doug Rosekrans, seconded by Amanda Fangmeier, the board appointed Charlotte TeBrink as Clerk/Treasurer/Zoning Administrator; the firm Bromm, Lindahl, Freeman-Caddy & Lausterer as village attorney; Brian Friedrichsen (Olsson) as street engineer; Ross Blackledge as water/sewer operator; Amanda Fangmeier as emergency management coordinator; and Joe Hobelman as floodplain administrator. The board also designated three official posting locations (Denton Daily Double, Denton Community Center, Denton Post Office) and appointed Pinnacle Bank as the village depository for FY 2025–26. All motions recorded as "carried."
Trustees approved a Community Center rental rate increase, effective Jan. 1, 2026, raising non-resident rental rates by $100 and wedding rental rates by $200. The minutes do not itemize projected additional revenue from the rate change or record dissenting votes.
Other routine items recorded included tabling the village attorney retainer agreement and the Miller & Associates sewer improvement agreement until the next meeting.
