Denton board extends Keno contract and reviews December proceeds report
Summary
Trustees approved a one-year extension of the village’s Keno contract and reviewed December 2025 Keno proceeds: gross $445,240.49, village share $29,052.92. Minutes list the contract term as Feb. 1, 2026 to Jan. 31, 2026; that date string appears inconsistent and is noted in the audit.

The Village of Denton Board of Trustees approved a one-year extension of the village’s Keno contract at its Feb. 2 meeting and reviewed the program’s December 2025 proceeds. The clerk reported December gross proceeds of $445,240.49 with the village share recorded as $29,052.92 and the operator share $62,443.58; payout percentage was 79.45%.
On a motion by Amanda Fangmeier and second by Ryan Osborn the board authorized extending the contract and authorized Chair Joe Hobelman to sign. The minutes state the extension would run "from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2026," which is internally inconsistent as written; the board did not record a corrected end date in the meeting minutes.
The financial recap appears in the clerk’s report and was accepted as part of routine business. Trustees did not record a roll-call tally in the minutes for the contract motion beyond the notation that the motion "Carried."
