Village staff reported that recently applied blue paint did not adhere properly to the roadway and that the contractor will reapply paint in affected areas. Staff noted that existing striping may have been too worn to allow proper adhesion.
The board reviewed a bid from APMS for removal and replacement of decayed pavement, asphalt repair, milling and replacement for $8,415. Additional estimated costs recorded in the minutes were $14,246 to restripe the roadway as currently configured and $1,877 to stripe parking lots at the community center and post office. Trustees scheduled further discussion at a special May 21 meeting.
Minutes do not record a final vendor selection or immediate contract award; the special meeting is intended to finalize work scope and costs.
