At the May 21 meeting the Village of Denton Board of Trustees approved an open-drinking permit for the Denton Daily Double’s street dance on June 20, 2026. Trustee Ryan Osborn motioned to approve the permit and Trustee Amanda Fangmeier seconded; the motion carried. The permit application lists the event time as 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
Earlier in the meeting resident Lona Anderson raised a public-comment concern that street-striping paint had not adhered on February 2, 2026 and asked the board to address striping quality. The board reviewed bids for street striping and Chair Joe Hobelman said he will call APMS to discuss the contractor’s previous work and follow up on the adhesion problem raised by Anderson.
Trustee Amanda Fangmeier also reported she will serve as the village point of contact for the Plant Nebraska program going forward. The minutes do not include numeric vote tallies for the permit approval; each motion is recorded as "Carried."
