Commissioners agreed to pursue cooperation with public works for auguring and temporary deer fencing and to explore mayoral support for the project.
Commissioners also reviewed species selections for Walnut Street Park (including London plane, redbud and inkberry) and agreed to follow up on replacement requests for trees that died on Westchester Pike. The commission signaled it will coordinate details and scheduling with public works and provide fall planting priorities at the next meeting.
