District approves lifeguard handbook changes, swim-class fees and notes in-house instructor certifications

District Office Manager Gia Cruz told the board that Lillian Sparrow has earned Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certifications, which the board said enables the district to conduct swim lessons, pool aerobics and in-house lifeguard and First Aid/CPR training. The board also noted the parking lot had been resealed and asked staff to add four parking blocks (one on each corner) to address burn-out issues in parking spaces.
