Bayshore Gardens board appoints Kyle Weatherly to vacant seat and approves routine motions

The Bayshore Gardens Park & Recreation District Board of Trustees appointed Kyle Weatherly to the vacant Seat 02 and passed a slate of routine motions at its April 22, 2026 meeting.
Kyle Weatherly introduced himself to the board, saying he previously served on the board and is ready to resume service. Trustee Barbara Susdorf moved to appoint Weatherly to Seat 02, a seat that became vacant Dec. 31, 2025 when Joyce Fisher’s term ended; Trustee Skip Wilhoit seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved minutes from its Feb. 25, March 25 and April 8 meetings by separate unanimous votes. Treasurer Terry Zimmerly presented the financial report, noted that some corrections have been made to the financials and that remaining corrections will be addressed at the next meeting, and read Resolution 2026-05. Zimmerly moved to approve Resolution 2026-05; the motion passed unanimously.
On operational matters, District Office Manager Gia Cruz reported two GE stoves in the district kitchen are failing (one reportedly not holding temperature, roughly 30º off). Trustee Keely Brown moved to scrap both ovens at no cost and replace them with a combined budget not to exceed $2,000; Trustee Terry Zimmerly seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The meeting opened at 6:02 P.M. and adjourned at 7:37 P.M.
