Holstein council adopts finance resolutions, sets FY27 budget hearing and approves claims

At its March 24 meeting, the Holstein City Council adopted Resolution 26-11 ratifying prior-year fund transfers for the Fire Department Capital Fund and Ambulance Capital Fund for fiscal years 2024 and 2025. Councilperson Marcus Prell offered the resolution and the council adopted it by roll call vote (Ayes: Johnson, Schimmer, Prell, and Stevenson; Absent: Tiefenthaler).

The council then adopted Resolution 26-12, offered by Councilperson Bonnie Stevenson, establishing an annual fund transfer policy for those same capital funds; the vote was recorded as unanimous among members present.

Councilperson Stevenson moved and Councilperson Johnson seconded a motion to set a public hearing on the FY27 proposed budget for April 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.; that motion passed on roll call with Ayes: Stevenson, Johnson, Schimmer and Prell.
