The Holstein City Council voted to approve a Pickleball/Tennis Courts Renovation Proposal provided that the private fundraising group deposits all project funds into Capital Fund 331 (Park Tennis Court Project) before the city solicits bids.
Councilperson Terri Schimmer moved for approval and Councilperson Steve Tiefenthaler seconded. The council recorded unanimous support for the stipulation and approval. The council noted the proposal had been presented by players on Oct. 14, 2025 and that the renovation will not move forward to the bidding stage until the funds are secured in the designated capital fund.
Councilperson Schimmer was assigned to contact the pickleball group to inform them of the councils condition. No dollar amount for the required deposit was specified in the meeting minutes; the transcript records only the procedural funding condition and the fund number.
