Snowflake approves IGA with Navajo County to manage election services through 2025

The Snowflake Town Council on Feb. 2 approved an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Navajo County to provide election services through Jan. 1, 2025.
Katie Melser presented the IGA, explaining the county has staff and equipment to manage ballots and election administration and that the town will perform the limited statutory duties required of the municipality. Councilmember Greg Brimhall moved to approve the agreement; Bob Flake seconded and the motion passed unanimously with three members absent.
No additional changes to election law or procedures were adopted at the meeting; the IGA continues the town’s existing arrangement with Navajo County.
