APS donates poles; Snowflake council approves driving-range lighting purchase

Neil Traver, manager of APS, told the council APS would donate 65-foot light poles and provide pole setting and electrical-design services for the Snowflake golf course driving range. The town would need to purchase the lights and install conduit; council approved authorization to spend funds for those items.
Councilmember Greg Brimhall said families retrieve balls from the range after hours, underscoring the need for lighting. Council noted some residents might object to additional lighting near the range. The motion to approve purchase of the lights and accept the APS donation passed unanimously on a motion by Byron Lewis, seconded by Bob Flake, with three members absent.
Staff will coordinate procurement of the fixtures and conduit installation to match the APS-provided pole design.
