The Snowflake Town Council on April 6 approved on first reading Ordinance 2021-04, which amends Town Code Title 4, Chapter 4 regarding smoking restrictions.
Chief Martin presented the proposed changes and responded to a council question from Kerry Ballard about whether vapor is simply "air" or odorless. Chief Martin said vapor "dissipates much faster than smoke because it is vapor, however people nearby would be able to smell it." The council approved the ordinance’s first reading by title only and will consider subsequent readings as required by local code.
The minutes do not include detailed text of the ordinance within the record; the council’s motion advanced the ordinance for further consideration.
