Property owners and council discuss Meadowview Plat 4 development agreement; city to follow up with bonding attorneys

Steve and Anne Quick met with the Huxley City Council at the June 10 meeting to discuss the Meadowview Plat 4 Development Agreement that had not been formally executed.
City Administrator David Haugland told the council that the Story County Auditor had established a base value on Plat 4 and that the city’s bonding attorneys indicated the development agreement could be executed. After a lengthy discussion, Mayor David Kuhn said a majority of council members appeared to support bringing back the previously unexecuted Development Agreement. Mayor Kuhn directed Administrator Haugland to contact the bonding attorneys for any necessary updates and present a draft agreement to council.
Council did not adopt the agreement at the meeting; staff follow-up was the explicit direction. Council Member Rigler also requested a work session to discuss a separate land issue involving the Herrin property.
