The Huxley City Council unanimously adopted Resolution No. 25-052 amending the Fiscal Year 2025 budget following a public hearing held May 27, 2025.
Mayor Kuhn opened the public hearing at 6:02 p.m.; hearing no comments, Councilmember Mulder moved and Councilmember Murphy seconded a motion to close the hearing. Councilmember Rigler moved to adopt the resolution, with a second from Mulder; Roberts, Rigler, Echer, Mulder and Murphy voted aye and no members voted against the resolution.
The amendment was presented during the council’s regular meeting agenda and took effect upon adoption. City Clerk Barb Barrick had earlier noted a correction to the agenda changing the fiscal year reference from FY2026 to FY2025. The council did not record any public opposition during the hearing.
The council proceeded with other business after the vote. Future minutes and the city’s official records will reflect the adopted budget amendment and Resolution No. 25-052.
