In a pair of motions, the board discontinued the Sigourney News-Review as the districtofficial newspaper and accepted the Southeast Iowa Union/Washington Evening Journal as the new official newspaper. Both motions were approved 4-0; the change governs where the district will publish required legal notices.
The board also approved extracurricular arrangements: it authorized out-of-state travel to Houston for the SSDC Club led by Heather Rosewall and approved a five-year extracurricular programming sharing agreement with Sigourney, the latter motion moved by Dan Redlinger and seconded by Nathan Greiner. Both votes were unanimous.
