Council advances design and bidding plan for airport lighting replacement

The project was presented as budgeted in the 2026 capital plan and staff recommended moving forward with engineering and the bidding phase while retaining flexibility to make award decisions after bids are received. "We are looking for a resolution to move to approve the proposal and to move forward with advancing the project," a staff speaker said; a council member moved the recommendation and the council approved it.
The council's approval authorizes the city to complete design work and advertise the two bid packages; staff will return with bid results and a recommendation for award once proposals are received.
