Grant City Council approved a minor subdivision that transfers a small remnant parcel so the existing septic system serving a restaurant will lie on the same fee title as the restaurant’s property.
City planner Jennifer Swanson explained the request was administrative in nature: the septic and its drain field already exist on the adjacent remnant parcel and the subdivision would detach that area and attach it to the restaurant parcel. Swanson said the property remains in the general business district, the action creates no new lots or density, and the change reduces a previously identified legal nonconformity. Engineering staff reported no additional agency reviews were required because the septic system is existing.
The council opened a brief public hearing, received no in‑person objections and approved the proposed resolution authorizing the subdivision.
