He said the hospital operates a 25‑bed critical access hospital and a 48‑bed long‑term care facility; staff described quality recognitions the organization has received in Minnesota.
Council members asked follow‑up questions about ambulance operations and site planning. Tom said the ambulance service currently runs four rigs and confirmed plans for a new ambulance shed are tied to the hospital site development on the roughly 30‑acre parcel adjacent to the nursing home. He indicated work had been slowed while state rule changes were incorporated and that the organization was preparing to move forward again in the coming year.
