The Green Isle City Council approved its consent agenda and several administrative items at the Dec. 26 meeting.
Staff reported an updated claims total for the consent agenda. The claims amount was changed to $83,739 from the previously noted total; the council approved the consent agenda on a voice vote.
Council also approved funding, not to exceed $2,800, for fireproof storage containers requested in conjunction with the Excel Energy lease and shop reorganization; the contract requirement was discussed and the motion carried on a voice vote.
Separately, the first reading of Ordinance 2024-3, which would establish a truck route, was tabled because the council needed engineering maps and related documents before proceeding. The council voted to table the ordinance and instructed staff to locate the required large-format engineering documents.
The council noted it had not received an update from City Attorney Ken Jansen for this meeting and heard a brief update about planned Verizon Wireless work on the water tower. No members of the public provided comments during the public-hearing period for Sharda Enclave or during the general public-comment period.
