On a separate item, the council adopted Resolution 2024-25 to accept a $1,000 donation from the Green Isle Baseball Club and to use the funds as requested. The resolution passed by roll call; council members voting in the roll call included Sean, Mark, Ed and Dan and an additional council member, resulting in an affirmative recorded vote.
The council also certified and signed the election canvassing report and recorded the canvass paperwork in the meeting packet. Several minor administrative items (boiler maintenance estimate deferred to the next meeting; Tree City USA application work ongoing) were also noted.
